Your first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and for you to share what brings you to therapy. There is no pressure to go deep right away -- we go at your pace. It is also a chance for you to see if you feel comfortable working with me. There is no obligation to continue after the first session.

Frequently asked questions

How long is a session?

Each session lasts 50 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends entirely on your needs and what you are working through. Some people find a few sessions helpful, while others benefit from longer-term work. We will discuss this together and you are free to end therapy at any time.

Are online sessions available?

Yes. I offer online sessions for clients in the UK and internationally. Online therapy provides the same quality of support as in-person sessions, with the flexibility of connecting from wherever you are.

Is everything I say confidential?

Yes. Everything you share in session is confidential, in accordance with the BACP ethical framework. There are very rare exceptions to confidentiality, which I will explain clearly at the start of our work together.
